Halkhurun
Rectangular columns, houses and vast chambers make up this very regal and historical city. It is carved from a beautiful blue granite flecked with gold. Great halls with massive stone figures are a common sight in Halkhurun. Due to the great decline in population, a large portion of the once great city is now empty. Many supernatural beings are said to haunt these long abandoned halls

Halkhurun is massive, it is so massive in fact, that the Dwarrow have nowhere near the numbers to fully populate the large amount of space carved into mountain. It is a monument of another time and many different sections of the city have fallen into disrepair and have been abandoned altogether.

History
Halkhurun (Bluerest) was first built in 2,367 BC and has always belonged to The Kingdom of Dwarrow, the oldest kingdom that dominates part of the Kammerstein. Its main purpose was not only to extract the gems and mithril found within the mountain, but to also serve as a place of respite during journeys in the dusty, arenaceous lands of the Gulin’Zanar.
Architecture
Inside Halkhurun are some of the largest and oldest chambers hewn from the living rock. The entire city is carved from blueschist, flecked with gold. Light seeps into many openings that complement the natural radiance that emanates from the outside gilim crystals. Vast rectangular chambers supported by grand columns make up most of this rich, somewhat ostentatious, city. Everywhere walls are detailed with runes telling of history, legends and distant landscapes. Massive stone figures guard each of the districts and exquisitely lifelike statues are a common sight in Halkhurun.
