Early-humans

While modern Altwaus sees humans in large numbers littered across every culture and corner of the continent, they were not always this way. First discovered fishing and digging for roots along the shores of the lakes and rivers of what is now modern Astoria, the people living among the tributaries of the great Hume River were once a fledgling, modest, and simple species that was first making it's steps into the wider world.    Humans showed an early aptitude for community, language, and most importantly - agriculture. This meant that they were quick to earn the attention of the Alvain and Kinderstärke, who saw potential in the new species. They made efforts to teach them The Common Language and taught them how to control those in their population that displayed aptitudes for early magic.    In a short time, the early-humans developed culture, government, and technology as they were uplifted by the Immortal Races of Altwaus. Their rapid growth rate, fearless nature, and cultural mallabiltiy made them fast favourites of their senior species - supplanting the more docile and less populous Satyr species.    Early-humans were simple people who could not possibly have foreseen the impact they would one day make on the face of the continent. Old Astoria, Cascadia , Kaldaria and the other [Thirteen Kingdoms all grew directly from migratory groups of these early humans.    It was not until after humans had been instilled as the preferred servant species and spread across the continent, that their aptitude and willfulness towards warfare became well-known.

Major organizations

While the early humans took a great of time before they began making serious efforts towards culture and society, the group's wanderlust and collective behaviours lead to large groups of them scattering across Altwaus, sowing the cultural seeds of what is now known as [The Thirteen Kingdoms.
