The Sky Spine

It cut through the clouds like a cold steel blade, it split the sky in twine as it stretched from one end of the Ivory Seas to the edge of the Ponpori Expanse. A great mountain if not the greatest the Sky Spine is a sight to behold. Some say that when Raga threw her fiery spear to commence the War of Children it skidded across the planes of the Waking Realm and created a great molten rift that would settle into the towering Sky Spine. Whatever the legends might say the mountain range is a dangerous beauty. It separates the two major states of Baile an Larthair and Baile an Deiscirt where the many Leanai Kingdoms reside. In the midst of this large mountain is the central kingdom of Estrelas Esperan a robust and hardy kingdom.

Geography

A large spire of stone and earth, towering miles into the sky is can be seen from any corner of Baile. As it stretches between to large regions on Baile it serves the purpose of both a distinguishing landmark and a border between neighbor kingdoms.

Fauna & Flora

Outside of the plants and animals that exist in the nearby Emerald Sea, there is plenty of life native to the surrounding areas of the Spine. Large goats that scale the cliff faces of the Spine, heavy and furred cows that make up the majority of the livestock within Estrelas Esperan. Predators like the long-toothed and ferocious crag-cats or calm yet feared Rock-Breakers also make up the number of native Fauna to the Spine. As far as plant life goes there is little lush greenery within the territory of the Spine, the hard to eat spike grass or the blue vines that cover the sides of unkempt homes and walls are all that grow within the region.

Natural Resources

The Spine sits upon one of the most fruitful and lucrative iron and coal mining regions in all of the Waking Realm. So much so that they have seen an influx of traveling Ogres and Halflings who wish to get in on the promising business before it becomes too overcrowded. Along with that, the use of Rock-breakers as a beast of burden and the variety of uses the Highland cows have made the livestock business within the region nothing scoff at though it is still not a prosperous as other regions of the Waking Realm.
