This is my random idea for a world that I'm messing with. I've decided to start to mess around with story and character design. Then I got the flash of the idea of creating a world made up of the things I'd love to see in a movie or a story. My favorite movies are normally movies or shows that follow different worlds with special cultures or magic....so now I'm making one! I have a few ideas, but I'm mostly just creating and seeing where it goes.   The main idea of this world is spirital connection and the change of creatures overtime. It's a world in which the main focus is upon these cute little creatures called Cheiflings that live in tribes that fight among eachother. Cheiflings have a connection to their own special spirit world (which there will probably be more on later because I haven't really thought that threw just yet) that decides how their lives progress. The natural features of this world will be mostly wooded area (as referenced by the name of the world) and will feature a large variation of plants and animals sense I have so much fun creating those. I want the flora and fauna of this world to have a sort of Indian or Native American (yes I know they're not the same thing) mythology style to it. Maybe even hints of Asian. I don't want it to fit specifically under one culture though, because I want it to be its own special original world without the limitations of already existing cultures or laws. The forest itself will probably be dangerous and have a deep, dark, dense feel to it.   Cheiflings are creatures that wear masks due to very limited natural defense incorporated on their actual bodies. Their masks are normally decorated by feathers, paint, and horns, and Cheiflings tend to add new things to their masks overtime. They use their masks to scare off enemies and can be shown to represent courage and pride. Cheiflings normally make their masks their self or have them passed down to them by family members. They value their masks greatly and will even grieve for a long time when their special mask is broken. They age very very slowly, and can't die of old age. It's considered rude to see another Cheifling without their masks without consent, and is just as bad as kissing a stranger. Cheifling tribes will sometimes hold mask judging contests, where the winner will be treated like a king for a while after winning.   The story itself will probably follow children that somehow found themselves in this odd world, and have made friends with a Cheifling that is struggling with loss of a family member and is having trouble fitting in, putting it in great danger. (More on that later)
