Magden is the foremost wyrdian in the land - a magician. His powers are unrivalled and bear no resemblance to any other wyrdian, who has neither the control nor the raw power Magden appears to possess. It has often be whispered that the rules of the wyrd barely apply to Magden.

Magden rarely seeks or takes employment with any entity or lord. Unusually he did spend any years attached to the court of Edward VII, Martin's father, as the Court Magician. This is something he has very rarely done in his past history.
