Rod of the Crescent Moon

A blessed mace bestowed by the goddess Selune to a carefully chosen champion. The mace appears to be crafted from a brilliant white metal that reflects light. Four flanges in the shape of crescent moons protrude from its tip.   Selune's champion can call out to the goddess to imbue the weapon with holy light that destroys undead. The rod can also emit a startling beam of crackling light that paralyzes evil creatures.   The rod was given to the champion along with The Black Tabaxi's Crown.

Rod of the Crescent Moon

Weapon Heavy, Two-Handed, Magical, Divine Legendary (this item requires attunement) [Only a champion chosen by Selune may attune to the Rod.]

The Rod can be used as an arcane focus by a Cleric of Selune, and the somatic components of spells can be performed while wielding it. Can only be attuned by a Cleric of Selune.   This weapon is magical: add +1 to both the attack and damage roll when it is used to attack.   Once a day, use an action to cause the Rod to become imbued with the holy moonlight of Selune. For 1 minute, the Rod spreads bright light for 30 ft., and dim light for 30 more; the damage dealt by the Rod also becomes radiant for the duration. Additionally, any undead with a CR of 1 or less that is struck by this radiant damage must succeed a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be destroyed.   Once a day, use an action to cause a thin, blue ray of lightning to streak from the Rod toward a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. Make a ranged spell attack (use your spell attack bonus plus one for the Rod's Magical property). On a hit, the target takes 2d8 lightning damage. Additionally, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or it takes an additional 4d8 lightning damage and becomes Paralyzed for 1 minute as the force of the magic courses through it. At the end of each of the target's turns, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. Good aligned creatures automatically succeed the saving throw for this attack.
