Valeren

Description

 

Valeren is split between two distinct paths of powers: the Path of the Healer, the first line developed by the Salubri Antediluvian, and the Path of the Warrior, an offshoot Discipline developed by Samiel to fight the Baali and other infernalists. The use of Valeren relies upon a third eye which is formed when a vampire gains the second Basic power in either Path. The third eye is said to bestow "sight beyond sight" and enable the Salubri to see the threads of life and death around them. Use of any power but the first causes the third eye to open and glow brightly, making surreptitious use very difficult.

Upon learning the first power of Valeren, a Cainite must choose which Path they wish to follow. One can attempt to learn both Paths, but the secondary Path is harder to master and can never exceed the understanding level attained in the first Path. Each power in the secondary Path has an experience cost as if it was one level higher (i.e. a Basic power costs as Intermediate power).

Progenitor Flaw

Cainites with this Progenitor Flaw have an overly developed sense of honor. They are required to aid those who ask for it regardless of the Road they or on.
