Slime

Bouncy blobs

An amorphous gelatinous with a fake "heart" that jump across the world, aimlessly.  

Ecology

You can meet these blobs travel everywhere, mostly in packs of 3 - 4 in the wild. They loves to reside near water sources like rivers, lakes, beaches, and magical-infested areas. Arid environments are their least favorite places.
 

Anatomy

Outer layer

Protected by a thick coat of unknown gel seem to be a mixture of elements and various impurities. This layer have a darker color than the inner one.

Inner layer

Filled their body is a layer of dense and slimy substance. The inner layer take up to 96% of a slimes weight.

The core

Lay inside these blobs is the core made of crystallized magic, or many called the "heart". This thing help maintain their structure and work as a brain for them, replacing the eyes. Slime will immediately explodes if they lose their core.

Sticky body

Slimes, obviously, are super sticky, no matter their type. It will be nearly impossible to escape once a weaker prey than them get caught.  
You can judge how sticky a slime is by their size and transparency. However, some parts isn't true all the time, like how Earth-type Slimes are always swarthy.

Absorbing

Slimes can absorbs and digests anything they ate only in 3 - 5 hours by their special mixture. These materials will then define that slime's look, type, size and status.

Growth & Stages

They grow by how many foods they ate. An healthy one can obtain a length of 1 meters in 2 months.

Genetic & Reproduction

Slime reproduce by cloning. Also when be slewed into pieces, these parts will have a chance to become a new slime. Cloned slimes will have all trait of its parent.
 

Dietary needs & habits

Slime is an omnivore creatures, they consume all edible things from liquids to organics matters. Earth-type ones can even digests hard materials likes rocks and ores.

As an omnivores, see slimes devour their own kind is a normal sight. That means all weaker (smaller) creatures than them is their prey.

Threats

Nelves uses Water-type slimes as a source of hydration. While Harpp allured by theirs magic-emitting core. Slime also widely hunted for their mixture.

Origin

No one know when did slime appear on this world. Maybe they been here for a very, very long time ago - even can be count as a primordial creature. Creaturist say they're the embodiment of nature, and born when elemental energies thrived on the Goble Realm

The oozes leaked from slimes are directly affect the environment. For example, a Water Slimes can water plants and vegetables on their path, while Molten Slimes only cause chaos and burning wherever they go.

The Goffic race lives inside caves use slimes as an domestic animal. There is also Goddess of swamp, slime and mud in Elves belief.
