Having a bad reputation from Nhu'nuian it is, but today small spiders in the Goble Realm are often viewed as a symbol of fortune, hardworking and sudden luck. That's why if you're unfortunate enough to see one die by the most unnatural causes (likes falling on candles fire, drowning in milk, or even eaten by bigger spider), it's a sign of bad omen and your next 8 days won't be easy.
There're many versions and ways to expel misfortune depend on culture but all of them shares the same major details.

However superstition is just superstition, there is still no evidence to prove this common belief true. The main reason why people fear it is due to many unlucky events that happened "coincidentally" with the sight of dead spider.
(Impossible... But I thought Cackle Leaf can banish it...). The man nervous.
❝Oh poor my brother, maybe your misfortune is too strong to expel... guess you need to be on your own for the next few days. I believe in you!❞
He packed up and wobbled away.
❝And sorry for cannot help! Goodbye!❞
