The Gardens

In the near or far future, the last textbook is put back on its shelf forever. A gradual increase in technological development has rendered labor obsolete. Civilization collapses not through violence, but through gradual transition into the Gardens, neighborhoods and cities where scarcity and work are nonexistent.   Hundreds, or maybe thousands of years pass, and no one can seem to remember anything about the world before the Gardens. There's no need for doctors, engineers, or any kind of technical profession. With the powerful and simplified Creative Engine and the endless benefits of the Gardens, humanity has wholly regurgitated the fruit of knowledge.   However, despite this bountiful paradise, there is something that the Gardens can't seem to satisfy. Factions band together using the unlimited potential of the Creative Engine to arm their soldiers. While the Gardeners remain blissfully unaware of the violence beyond their homes, clans and factions battle for social control across the globe.   Will order arise from the darkness? How can humanity persist in its violence despite its obvious paradise? And what will happen when someone realizes the true potential of the Creative Engine, and will it be used for good or for evil?
