The God's Shola

The Shenta-Har-Ek believe in the Shola as a guiding force of intertwinement of all living things. Gathial The Squint recorded a mythical story in his tome For Harkonning The Day Fades. In the fable a simple child comes to a great Shenta-Har-Ek leader and asks about his connection to the Gods. The leader explains in with much flowery language the connection of Shola to all and the meaning of being part of a greater web. The simple child stares blankly and merely says "I do not understand". To this the leader simplifies their explanation, believing that all beings are capable of knowing their existance. He tells the child that they are like a rock dropped into a pool and that the ripples created not only flow on top of the pool but deep within it as well. He then drops a pebble into a puddle for visual. The simple child responds again "I do not understand". The leader, frustrated blows air into the childs face. The feeling of air shows that even where something does not "appear, it still is". To this the simple child nods, and says "where it isn't, it is hidden." Seemingly satisfied in the answer the child runs off leaving the leader stunned. In Shenta-Har-Ek there is a common saying "where it is, we are" meaning that where one can feel the presence of Shola, all things exist. The childs response implied that all things exist in all spaces. This further fusion of identity with all leads Gathial to predict that one day an individual will be born with the "implicit exemplified", meaning that they showcase the identity of God's through Shola. In the age of Myth when Gathial wrote this prediction was thought of as unimportant. If the God's needed a mouthpiece they were capable of taking any form at any time. However, with their prolonged Orphelian sleep the prediction would indicate a prophet working with their sleeping consciousness.

Historical Basis

The story that Gathial writes of is thought to be a fabrication for the purpose of the fable. Only the most ardent traditionalists believe it was historical.

Spread

The myth of God's Shola is well known amongst the Shenta-Har-Ek and seen as important in most major sects. Several methods of child testing include methods of identifying Gathial's described prophet.

Variations & Mutation

The Thial'tung translation has the child saying "where it is, is not all hidden" which significantly changes the meaning to imply that God's Shola is a false flag leading only to ruin as it will hide the true meaning in all connection.
