Miv’rr’ei (Me-vrai)

Miv’rr’ei is the hellish homeworld of the Jia'r’uk, an uncomfortable mixture of active volcanoes, lava pools, and frozen wasteland. Life here would be impossible without assistance from their patreon Orphelian. Even with the drip down powers of their god, life on Miv’rr’ei struggles with the ecological extremes it is presented with, mainly existing in the tiny borders between these two worlds which are more habitable.

Geography

The landscape of Miv’rr’ei is a mix of high volcanic hills and deep cracked ravines. The terrain is incredibly jagged as the world is still new (only 200 million earth years) and has yet to erode the expansive rock formations. In addition Miv’rr’ei lacks a significant supply of free flowing water, with the vast majority being settled as ice. The planet is the furthest of the 9 from a light source and has a weak atmosphere, thus lending to a very cold temperature. The atmosphere which does exist is saturated with noxious fumes, mostly due to their high iron concentrations. The world has variable night and day cycles, but day does little to warm or light so they often go unnoticed. Time is kept through plate shifts which occur at regular intervals, but make a single "day" on Miv’rr’ei equivalent to just over three earth months.

Fauna & Flora

While all creatures are scarce on Miv’rr’ei, large plants are exceptionally rare in the 'wilds' and are highly prized. Though many species of hardy weeds grow in small numbers, from them only small creatures grow. Miv’rr’ei is not known to host any previous animal phylums, meaning that all animal creatures either developed independently here or were transfered from a yet unknown host population. Due to the extremely low light levels both animals and plants have adapted to utilize the geothermal heat transfered from the lava pools and ground. The largest mammals are Urvides, large oxen-like bovines who have extremely large footpads which work to transfer thermal heat into their thick bodies. There are no known predators on Miv’rr’ei, and most creatures are unusually small.

Natural Resources

Unlike many worlds of difficult access Miv’rr’ei's nickname is accurate. The J Wastes are not known to contain any resources of significant value. Unless lava or ice become useful as rocket fuel, the land is unintersting to outside investors. This lack of value has limited outside influence into the realm.

Tourism

Toursim to Miv’rr’ei is minimal and typically comes in only two forms. The first are researching Aaruaqootf who are interested in the settling nature of the new planet and its " painful birthing cycles". The second are thrill seekers who get pleasure from experiencing such a destructive environment. Both party types are limited to one of three docking domes except in very rare circumstances.
