Portal Island

Portal Island is a small sandbar deep in the ocean of Nordic Frog Beach. It is over 200 kilometers from the shore of Awal Dalu, Nordic Frog Beach's only continent. It is home to a low hill with an indent, a large fruit-bearing bush, more than a dozen human structures, and a portal that accesses the Portal Network. Portal Island is used by immigrants and travelers to and from Nordic Frog Beach. However, its small size and limited docks mean that the speed of immigration is slow.

Demographics

Portal Island is inhabited only by a few staff. There are three med-techs, a dockmaster, three boat mechanics, and eight people who just live on the island, mostly fishermen or boat drivers.

Infrastructure

There is a large pier structure, wave motion and solar generators, and a half-dozen prefabricated artificial buildings. There are also a dozen houses formed from clay that the locals use whenever they need shelter.

Geography

Portal Island is a small indent-shaped sand-and-stone island deep in the ocean. The waters are subtropical, though there are seasonal storms. The island has a low maximum height of 40 meters. It is just 130 meters long at its longest point, and only 70 meters wide at its widest point.
