The City in Flux

Perhaps the most famous of the great cities found in the Funhouse in this day and age, The City in Flux is so large, and has such a concentrated number of sentients living in it that it has actually become a Reflection in and of itself.  While far from stable (just look at the name there) it has maintained its planar boundaries for over a century now.  Standing alone, it is one of the great neutral zones.  It is not ruled by any one power or empire, but instead caters to all, and to none.  It is, in many ways, the epitome of all that we want a city to be, and all that we are afraid one is: larger than life, it is equally rife with squalor and opportunity, innovation and crime, free thinking artists and soul-crushing bureaucracy.  It is perhaps the largest convergence point in the known world, and attempts to reflect as many as a dozen different realities at a time.  Perhaps as a result of all of this turmoil that exists on the metaphysical level, chaos broils constantly in the city on a more mundane level as well.  Riots, insurrections, gang wars, and coups are monthly affairs, at best, and more intellectual and religious movements have begun in the gutters and garrets of this one city than in any other five reflections combined.
Despite being such a place of wonder, many suffer, and die in this place.  It is certainly not for the faint of heart, nor the weak of limb.

Demographics

The poorest of the poor and the richest of the rich can be found walking these streets, as well as representatives of every race and species known to science or magic, and possibly quite a few who remain as yet unknown.  One thing all of these varied denizens have in common though is their desire for a change.  One does not come to The City in Flux to settle down, or build something stable.  No, this is place you come to get your big break, to get away, or to turn your life around.  As such, only the most desperate or bored of the immortal races can be found lurking here, which certainly does not contribute to the stability of the city as a whole.

Industry & Trade

Because it is such a crossroads, and can be reached from so many different places (quite often by people who did not even mean to go there) The City is a hub of trade.  A skilled Navigator can go nearly anywhere from there, and get there from nearly anywhere, making it, in some ways, an even more convenient waypoint than the Crossroads of Sand.  In addition, nearly every good or service imaginable can be bought or bartered somewhere within its walls, making it all the more attractive a stop, if quite a risky one.  Its biggest lack is food, which it has great difficulty growing for itself in sufficient quantities, and cannot import regularly due to the vagaries of its planar borders.

Geography

Because the entirety of the city is its own reflection, and one that borrows from so many other planes at that, its connection to the surrounding geography is...loose... at best.  It is technically possible to arrive at its gates from nearly any planar boundary in the entire Funhouse, although some are more easy to arrange than others.  It is generally more easily reached from the southern side of The South Sea, the western side of The Never, and the eastern side of the Crossroads of Sand, leading to those fools who desire to map the entire Funhouse on one page to place it somewhere in between those places.  It does have a port, and can be sailed to and from, although such is always a risky business, since where exactly you will pop out is hardly garunteed.
