Chesney

Chesneys are obnoxious little bastards, basically a cross between flying fish and venomous sea snakes, they make for good eating, but are quite the pain to deal with. They usually don't bother humans all that much, but most dock workers in particular hate them. They are quite common among the isles and reefs of The South Sea, and while they are not usually aggressive, it still pays to give them a clear birth. Tend towards bright colors, and are not often found in lengths in excess of 4 feet or so. Do not swarm.

Basic Information

Dietary Needs and Habits

Unlike normal snakes, Chesneys have ridges of serrated bone that line the tops of their throats, in addition to the standard unhinging jaw thing, allowing them to eat nearly anything they want whole. this facet of their biology has been known to, in extreme circumstances, lead them to magical mutation after attempting to consume something that absorbed just a little bit too much stray planar energy.
