Causes
Shifting occurs when a being's soul is caught between realms. So far, this has only been known to occur in Artificially Attuned Beings.
Symptoms
Typically, as realms shift in and out of alignment, symptoms will become better or worse.
Treatment
There is no treatment.
Prognosis
The condition typically progresses as realms fall in and out of balance and the soul separates further. The hypothesised outcome is for the sufferer to become soul-split or even soul-dead. However, no cases have advanced this far yet.
