Children in Fartherton and Baelisport have told stories of mysterious ships with black sails that appear in the early morning on the shores of the Great Divide. Little is known about these ships, but some say they are the reason why children have been going missing.

The Disappearance of Harten

I remember it like it was yesterday I do. Harten and me, we was out skippin' rocks on the shores when we heard this most awful screech comin' from the other side of the fog. Harten, he saw it first. Three of 'em, big ones too. The black sails and the things on the ships, they won't leave my mind no sir. A few days later, Harten, he went missing he did. Haven't seen him since. His ma is worried sick. That was almost a full season ago...
