Rhymanthinn

"A myth? Perhaps it is. But that doesn't make it any less real to me."
~ Volothamp Geddarm, Halfling Scholar
Stories persist that the ancient elven city of Faer'tel'miir, which rested upon the High Moor and was destroyed by foul magic millennia ago, was restored to its grandeur by some divine force sometime in the last century. The restored city of smooth, black stone, called 'Rhymanthiin' or the 'Hidden City of Hope' appears on no maps and is reputedly concealed by magic or some other artifice.   Supposedly, only those who are worthy, without malice in their hearts, may reach the restored city, while others (as the tales have it) "shall never find their way there." It is said that once a traveller chances of the city, they should never want to leave, which may account for the sparse amount of records that tend to the city's existence.   There are, of course, many who believe the restored city to be nothing but an old wives' tale, but there have been numerous adventurers in decades past that have devoted their lives to locating the magnificent stone city. However, due to the harsh conditions and cruel denizens that now roam the High Moor, many of these adventurers do not return from their journey.
