Frostbrand

Frostbrand, sometimes referred to as 'Chillbrand', is an enchanted longsword made of solid ice. It was forged by the goliaths of the Sword Mountains in the year 1017 JR, and is the subject of a well-versed goliath prophecy, in which a powerful hero will come to wield the blade.
The weapon grants the wielder an uncanny resistance to the effects of fire, and when drawn from its sheathe, has the ability to extinguish all non-magical flames in the area. It was kept secret by the goliaths for almost two millennia, until it was stolen by Theodoric Blackheart in 2986 JR.
Upon the death of Theodoric, at the hand of the High Harper of Neverwinter, Samuel Tumbleson (now retired from the position), the weapon was placed under Harper protection, and locked in a longbox belonging to the gnomish alchemist, Argo Cobblelob, in the Forest of Jewels.
In 3019 JR, the weapon was stolen again, this time by a member of the elusive Black Riders. However, the theft was quickly brought to the attention of the Chimera, High Harper of Waterdeep, who dispatched a group of adventurers to retrieve the item.
It currently belongs to a dragonborn named Biffbaff Clegane, who after obtaining the weapon, quickly developed a particular attunement to it, which is especially evident when the barbarian enters his fierce battle rage.
The sword is carved with runes of giant script, and the pommel resembles the head of a dire wolf, a creature revered by many goliaths.
