Dryfoot Hill
Being the only little speck of land solid enough to settle in the whole of suffocating, drowned swamp made it a popular resting place for passing merchants.
Centuries of trade have turned Dryfoot from a simple rest-stop to a thriving trade city in its own right. Tall stone buildings ride up from every inch of ground solid enough to build on, and a flotilla of sarges clings to the side of the township to host all the workers too poor to afford dry feet. The town remains neutral, taking counsel, but not rule, from the larger and more powerful city-states that surround the swamp on all slides.
