Gundar Dragnaland
Lord Gundar Aldwinsson Dragnaland
A young noble who, until recent events, lived in hiding under the protection of Coldor, Thane of Montsend. He was left in his care by his father, the previous Earl of Dragnaland. He was first informed by the Thane about his status as an Earl just before setting off on an expedition to Trondalen with the goal of electing a new king. When they found out about Prince Asmund's plan to establish House Trondalen as the new royal household, many were forced to flee the royal palace in the night to avoid capture. Gundar, the Ealdorman of Gothenland-Arenheim and some other lords and housecarls were less fortunate and were imprisoned in Fort Aling. When the Thane of Aling threatened to poke Gundar's eyes out he discovered his ancient magical ability to summon lightning and laid the fort to ruin. He was freed by the Prince of Norland who swore to set him on the throne for his great power and heritage. This became known as the shortly lived Alliance of the Dragon. At the advice of Lady Alva's spirit the Northern forces went to Beoron, Thane of Ravenheim who let them set up camp on his lands. His sister, Ranveig Ravenheim, led Gundar to a witch who told him the ancient history of house Dragnaland. He promised Ranveig he'd marry her when the war was over. Soon after, the forces of Prince Faerwald of Lowenthal discovered their camp, and Gundar voluntarily gave his loyalty and that of the Northern lords to the Varangoth cause. He was kidnapped by Trondalen men and imprisoned again in Fort Gartyr. Prince Faerwald began to siege the fortress. When Ranveig Ravenheim was killed before his eyes by Dunstan, Merkis of Gartyr, his rage led him to release his secondary ability to summon fire and burned all of the lord's men inside the fortress. When Astor did become king, Gundar was knighted as a royal housecarl and later made Lord Admiral of the King's Fleet for his magical abilities to defend the Eylands from a Northern invasion. After the battle he went on an expedition to find and rebuild his family castle in Norland.

Special abilities
He is gifted with a verdant eye, which allow him to see spirits in a parallel world. His other eye is a zircon blue one, which gives him the ability to see flashes of the future, but not at his free will. During the battle of Fort Aling he also discovers the power to summon lightning. His strongest ability is his power to summon fire which he first discovers during the Battle of Fort Gartyr and later uses to win the Battle of Norland.
