Aasimar

Aasimar are a race created not by the gods, but by the celestial Narcian. When he allied himself with the gods during the Celestial Wars, he created the Aasimar to act as his soldiers. Now that the war is over, and Narcian and the rest of the celestial races have been sealed, the Aasimar are Narcian's eyes and ears to the outside world.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Aasimar are varied in appearance and abilities as they are reflections of all the orders of celestial. They can have hair and skin in almost any color in the world. Although, they usually have either skin that is snow white, or crimson red. Some Aasimar have halos, while others have horns. Some have the ability to sprout radiant wings, and others command limited control over fire and darkness.

Genetics and Reproduction

Aasimar reproduce purely through the use of cloning technology. That being said, it is important to note that aasimar are not all perfect duplicates of each other. Rather when creating clones, dna is taken from a variety of existing templates and stitched together to create a viable fetus which is then grown in a tank until it is able to survive on its own. Due to a large amount of natural source in their blood, all aasimar have some degree of natural magic, though few manifest enough power to become true sorcerers. Most just have enough power to cast a few minor spells.

Growth Rate & Stages

The flexibility of the aasimar genome has additional benefits. All aasimar start out looking similar, pale, bald, and bipedal. But as they grow, their physiology changes dependent on personal preference. This is how some manifest more angelic traits while others more demonic. This manifestation is biological and done through personal will rather than genetic tampering.

Biological Cycle

Aasimar are near immortal. Living around 300 years before the Twins eventually come to claim their souls for reincarnation. This makes them not quite as long lived as elves but more long lived than most species.
Sociology: Aasimar society looks very different than most other species. Due to their existence as clones bred for the purpose of serving in the Aasimar Alliance, they tend to not form bonds in the same way as other social species. Rather they operate as a highly collectivistic and efficient organization. Free thought is frowned upon in aasimar who were bred for more manual labor. This has led to some aasimar to rebel against the machine and either join evil cults or even create their own splinter factions of the Alliance.
