The Errant Archipelago

In the midst of the wild waters of the Golden Sea drifts the Errant Archipelago, a network of unusual islands which float freely on the complex currents of the ocean, drifting and weaving in amongst each other rather like great geographical dancers, but wetter. Estranged from any stable landmasses and set by the Powers on High to wander the Sea alone till Wakespace and the rest of reality collapses in on itself in the Big Yawn, its diverse and obscure inhabitants originally fought, stranded in an ancient war they could not escape. But now, thanks to Time’s gentle hands, they have intermingled into a peculiar but singular civilization, existing in an uneasy kind of peace. But secrets are always brewing: The invisible hands of the Hidden King of Hyphinfort are always felt, and the Spirits of the Dreamworld are only one wrong step away through the twilit mists, fighting their mysterious war.
