Session One: Welcome to The Emrald Territory Report
General Summary
Our party comes together on the road to Dewhurst from Everwell after each individually receiving an "Adventurers Needed" poster advertising a missing Wuking statue. On the last evening on the road, the small caravan is ambushed by a small pack of extremely starved wolves. The pack of five were easily defeated. Upon further inspection, it was noticed that all of these wolves were male and barely old enough to be separated from their mother. The group also learned through gossiping with the dwarven woman leading the caravan, Bethilda, that there were a group of merchants that have gone missing in an area up north that is rumored to be occupied by giants.
Once in Dewhurst, the group immediately goes to the Chapel of Wuking. Upon entering the Chapel, Reed deposited a silver coin into the donation box. The elder church father named Edwin greeted the party and answered their questions to the best of his ability. He was just happy to have someone new to talk to. Jacob and Faelyn investigated the alter that once held the Wuking statue; Jacob found where it appeared someone unscrewed the statue from the alter using tools, while Faelyn found a variety of old religious books.
Next step was to the manor, meeting the mayor named Guy Hearding and looking for more information. Guy appeared suspicious as Jacob realized that he could not maintain eye contact. Guy told the group pf three adventurers who had come before and of the lumberjacks who had left their job site before directing them to the Simple Inn and Tavern to look for more clues. He also promised the party 15g for finding the statue.
