Cult of the Darkholders

The cult of the Darkholders traces its origins back to the Pre-Cataclysmic Age, when they were initially followers of the infamous sorcerer Thulsa Doom. After Doom's demise at the hands of Kull, they delved into dark and forbidden arts, using the ancient Darkhold to summon forth the first vampire, Varnae. Through Varnae's dark influence, some members of the cult were transformed into vampires themselves, including Nosferatu, Verdelet, Saracen, Maracen, and Boy.
These early vampires, often referred to as the Ancient, wielded immense power and terrorized the land with their insatiable thirst for blood. Surviving members of the Darkholders, fueled by their newfound immortality and lust for power, absconded with the Darkhold before the cataclysmic sinking of Atlantis, preserving their dark legacy for centuries to come.
In the present day, the Darkholders remain a shadowy and enigmatic force, operating from the shadows and wielding their dark influence over the realms of both the living and the undead. Led by a council of ancient and powerful vampires, descendants of those who first embraced the dark gift bestowed upon them by Varnae, the cult of the Darkholders seeks to expand their dominion and further their sinister agenda.
Using the knowledge contained within the accursed pages of the Darkhold, the cult delves deeper into the forbidden arts of necromancy, blood magic, and dark rituals, seeking to unlock secrets that were never meant to be known by mortal minds. They maintain a network of agents and acolytes spread throughout the world, working tirelessly to further their goals and spread chaos and corruption wherever they tread.
Driven by their insatiable thirst for power and dominance, the Darkholders manipulate political affairs, orchestrate clandestine schemes, and sow discord among the unsuspecting populace. They view themselves as the true inheritors of the world, destined to reign supreme over both the living and the dead. With each passing night, their influence grows stronger, and their ambitions more grandiose, as they plot and scheme from the shadows, ever seeking to bring about a new era of darkness and despair.
