Amon the Fool

Amon was born to a prostitute and the local caravan idiot (like, I'm talking an IQ of 30) who served as the caravan's muscle/strong arm. Amon was born crazy intelligent, but the caravaners were a super practical people and didn't really care much for his youthful number babblings. As far as they were concerned, he was also probably an idiot.
They did pay attention to his unbelievable aim with just about anything he picked up, though. So they slapped him into the role of a sort of scout/marksman as he got older until eventually settling him in as caravan muscle due to him growing into his father's physique/build.
Eventually, he was bought out/sold by the caravan to some mercenary captain who thought his marksmanship skills were particularly handy. Little did the guy know, Amon would be a great asset to the mercenary company as... A glorified accountant, and occasional repairman.
Amon inherited his father's simple/easy going attitude, though, and never really had many ambitions beyond wanting to see/understand the world. As far as he's concerned, as long as he's able to see new things and therefore understand them, his purpose in life is fulfilled.
