The Scourge of Mal'Kai

It was said that the Lycan King Mal'Kai was mad with power before he found the opal. He had already led a campaign across the island of Renroa, enslaving the other beastfolk into turning the island into a nation under one rule. The opal seemed to have taken control of him, turned him drunk with a blood rage. 
King Mal'Kai's armies crossed the seas into GreenSkin territoary, setting their sights on the oceanside fortress of Nargoloth. Warchief Zagrok The Fury fought off the ransacking, but not by much. Their walls were breached, their city nearly destroyed and the fortress itself was contested. They pushed back the attacking hordes and sent them packing. 
The Renroan navy parked itself in Nargolothan waters for a week. It took an entire week for Zagrok to strike. That was due to the fact that he had reached out to Wrathshollow for backup, and were waiting for the armies of Wrathshollow to march for Nargoloth. They brought with them tribes from their assimilated nation, including the tribe that Ramsteed, the centaur from the party, belonged to. He was there the day that Zagrok invaded Renroa. 
The warships of Renroa were no where near capable of fending off the attack from the full force of Zagrok's military. They wiped out the ships and pressed on to Renroa with ease. When they reached the island, King Mal'Kai was waiting for them. That was when Ramsteed earned the attention of Grorr Brokejaw.
