Centinoid

The Centinoid was a species of large abominations that were originally created by Sadie Branchmaster. Due to the fact that they were organic life, she created nesting grounds for them based on their biology and bred them in their new nests.    As the creatures bred and procreated, they started to become part of ecosystems. These nests are still few and far between, but they're starting to pop up across the Witchwood. All it takes is one of these creatures to be brought out into civilization. They are a very invasive species, and they live off of the land that was never created for them.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They have three hundred legs. 20 of these legs have hands at the end of them, the others are razor sharp and are meant for stabbing and prodding at potential prey.

Genetics and Reproduction

Female centinoids produce thousands of tiny worm-like offspring that are comparable in size to full grown adult dogs.

Growth Rate & Stages

They start off as tiny little worms, and then grow into 200 legged teenagers, and then mature into 300 armed adults.

Ecology and Habitats

They thrive in woodlands and forests. They require nutrients from dirt in the way that plants do, bt they can also surive on land for seven hours at a time.

Dietary Needs and Habits

This invasive species consumes whatever it can eat. Animals of all types, creatures, monsters, as well as fruits, vegitables and sometimes even trees if the centinoid grows large enough.

Biological Cycle

Most of the centinoid sub-species, save for few acceptions, grow beard-like hair throughout their bodies for the winter. Their natural armor and weaponry is also hardened for tunneling in hardened dirt.

Behaviour

They are heavily territorial over their hunting grounds and their nests especially. They usually act like hunters and predators if you cross into their hunting grounds.
