The Tengou Seven team up with the mysterious Ebon Swordsman to hunt down a mystic beast while fighting off the scourge of a fallen kingdom.

Years after assisting the Faery King defeat Typhon and Dhimwari, Sengoku has managed to officially establish the Kingdom of Xing. With his advisors consisting of the major daimyo that fought by his side against the Tenshi Emperor, Sengoku has maintained relative peace.   The first signs of a coming danger arrived with the sudden appearance of the great mountain god, Kyr. This massive dragon attacked the territory of the Abe Clan, gravely wounding its daimyo in the process. In order to handle this threat, Sengoku called upon the aid of his most loyal allies and set out in order to find the lair of this creature. During his search, Sengoku encountered a mysterious swordsman, calling himself the Ebon Swordsman, who also was searching for Kyr. After an initially rough introduction, Sengoku was shocked to find the swordsman more than a match for the daimyos, defeating Ranmaru, Aoi and the Shibata Brothers with ease. As Yasuke readied his blade, Sengoku ordered for the fighting to end, wishing to hear out the mysterious warrior's intentions. After revealing he too, was searching to stop the Mountain God, the Ebon Swordsman formed a temporary alliance with the samurai of Xing so that they may put an end to the dragon's rampage together.   During their search, Sengoku found himself at odds with a strange group of homon, calling themselves the Forlorn Legion, hoping to revive the fallen empire of Crimea. Their leader, claiming to be a descendant of House Brandt, the last ruling family Crimea, demanded the absolute surrender of Xing, in order to once again become subordinates of their once great nation. Unwilling to bow to these strangers to his lands, Sengoku refused, sending the Forlorn Legion envoys away to focus on his search. In order to protect his land and his people, Sengoku ordered his daimyo to prepare for battle, their force of fourteen hundred samurai at the ready. The army that prepared to march against him however, numbered in as many as three thousand, a sizeable force that would for sure wipe them out if they did not prepare accordingly.   In order to face such a threat, Sengoku sent an envoy to summon the Mogis to help in their upcoming battle against the Forlorn Legion. As the remnants of Crimea approached Xing, Sengoku and the samurai of Xing put up a fierce defense, their superior skill making up for what they lacked in numbers. The arrival of Wuhua and the vanara, as well as Gomi and his Mogis warriors, provided the backup Sengoku needed to repel the Forlorn Legion, officially establishing Xing's military might as superior.   The fighting was brutal but in the end, Sengoku and his allies managed to deliver a devasting wound against Kyr, momentarily felling the Mountain God as the Ebon Swordsman approached, ready to finish the job. As he approached the massive dragon, the Ebon Swordsman smiled, placing a hand on the beast's head, seemingly pacifying it. Before any further action could be taken, the Mountain God quickly recovered from his injuries, and with a beat of his massive wings, took to the skies, leaving the kingdom of Xing.   Their land once again saved, Sengoku thanked the Ebon Swordsman for his assistance as Gomi approached the warrior, insisting they duel. Without hesitation, the Ebon Swordsman accepted, unsheathing his blade and clashing with the Mogis chieftain. The two warriors initially seemed evenly matched, but the overwhelming might of the Ebon Swordsman began to become apparent as he displayed his proficiency in the Fire God Sword style. Despite his best efforts to Devour the swordsman's skill, Gomi ultimately loses the fight.   As the Ebon Swordsman departs to continue his search for the Mountain God, Gomi decides to take off on his own journey as well. Taking the name Masashi Ryuzaki for himself, the Mogis chieftain departs from the lands of Xing, in order to perfect his swordsmanship, but promising to always return should his friends need his blade.
