Laws of Magic

The rules and natural causes of magic in the Earthly Realm.

Manifestation

What is Magic?


  Where mankind and the Earthly races can utilize and possess their own aura, or life force, magic is known as the life force of the Earthly Realm itself. This life force, for a time, was only usable by the Fae and the Daemons, however a few races of the Earthly Realm were born with the ability to use magic in other ways. As for the others, ways to use and manipulate magic had to be found.  

Sources of Magic


Grimoire: Tomes infused with the pure essence of magic by other beings and channeled by magus sharing an affinity with the specific type of magic used in the tome. As such, not every magus can use every or any tome. As opposed to staves, grimoires make learning magic easier, in exchange for less initial control over the power of magic.
Magic Staves: Staves infused with different kinds of magic depending upon the stone used as it’s head piece. As opposed to grimoires, staves make it easier to control and wield magic.
Shamanism: Magic used by beings born with natural ties to magic such as the Icarus or the Navatu, channeled through ritualistic conduits such as nature glyphs or chants and songs.
Pactmaking: Magic drawn from making a pact with a spirit or natural being possessing great magic and draws life from the natural essence of magic such as one of the races of the Old World.(ex. Dragons, Daemons, Faeries, etc.).
Relic: Forgotten items of the Old World, used to allow those unloved by magic to use magic willingly and freely without any expense of their own energy, however only once. Relics tend to break after being used but a single time, making them truly rare items to come across.
Mana Spring: Geysers in the earth that release the pure, untapped life force of the Earthly Realm out over time.
On rare occasions there are certain individuals who are considered "Mana Children," specifically called those who are "Loved by Magic," and able to tap into the life energy if the Earthly Realm and use it at will.

Types of Magic

Nocturne Magic

Magic that is able to channel and manipulate The Void, warping time and space to varrying degrees to allow teleportation,     Shadow Magic: Magic used to manipulate the darkness of the Void on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Shadow Magic.
Shadow Grip Magic: Mid level Shadow magic allowing the user to manipulate any shadow within a specific range to reach out and hold or attack a target.
Rift Magic: Magic allowing the caster to create portals that allow travel over certain distances, depending on the magic abilities of the user.
Beast Summoning Magic: Magic used to summon various creatures to act on the summoner's behalf. Ranges from low level to master level beast summoning magic.
Construct Summoning Magic: Summoning magic used to summon weapons, items, buildings, etc.
Dancing Blade Magic: Creation magic used to make and utilize several different types of blades, controlled physically or remotely.
Illusion Magic: Magic that manipulates the power of the Void to cast illusions over a target or over an entire area. Ranges from low level to master level Illusion magic.
Invisibility Magic: Mid level Illusion magic using the darkness of the Void to cloak the caster or their target from sight.
 

Aegis Magic

  Barrier Magic: Magic used to create barriers to resist and ward from physical and magical threats. Ranges from low level to master level Barrier Magic.
Light Magic: Magic used to manipulate light on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Light Magic.
Searing Light Magic: Powerful Light magic with the elemental properties of fire.
Mirror Magic: Magic using powerful
Law Magic: A unique form of Seraphi magic that manipulates space and time in a distinct area. Ranges from low to master level Law magic.
 

Restoration Magic

  Healing Magic: Magic manipulating one's prana to recover from wounds and sickness. Ranges from low level to master level healing magic.
Memory Magic: Magic that allows the caster to manipulate the memories of their target. Usually works better if the target is unconscious.
Resurrection Magic: Legendary magic fabled to be able to bring back the dead, though few have managed to learn this incredibly powerful magic. One of the 12 great spells of Pangaea.
Preservation Magic: Magic capable of maintaining the natural state of food and drink, helping it last longer. Can also help wounds from worsening.
Necromancy Magic: Dark Restoration magic capable of raising the dead under the control of the caster. One of the 12 great spells of Pangaea.
 

Transmutation Magic

  Polymorph Magic: Magic used to transform the user into various different shapes, be it part of their body or fully. Ranges from low level to master level polymorph magic.
Construction Magic: Magic capable of manipulating the landscape to form buildings, structures, etc.
Ironforge Magic: Magic that manipulates refined metals to assemble various weaponry.
Magnetism Magic: Magic allowing the user to recreate polarity to attract and repel metals. Advanced levels of Magnetism magic aren't limited to the use of metals.
Time Phase Magic: Extremely powerful and dangerous magic that allows its user minor control over space and time, though it requires a massive amount of magic. One of the 12 great spells of Pangaea.
 

Nature Magic

  Dragonfire Magic: Highly refined Fire magic thought to be almost as powerful as a dragon's fire.
Earth Magic: Magic used to manipulate earth on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Earth Magic.
Fire Magic: Magic used to manipulate fire on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Fire Magic.
Ice Magic: A variation of Water magic used to manipulate ice on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Ice Magic.
Wind Magic: Magic used to manipulate wind on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Wind Magic.
Water Magic: Magic used to manipulate water on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Water Magic.
Lightning Magic: Magic used to manipulate lightning on varying levels. Ranges from low level to master level Lightning Magic.
Flora Magic: Magic used to manipulate plantlife. Ranges from low level to master level Flora magic.
Levitation Magic: Mid level Wind Magic using soft wing currents to levitate people or objects, the user included.
Super Aroma Magic: Mid level Wind Magic carrying various magical smells in to affect the psychological state of its targets in various ways. Requires knowledge of Enchantment magic.
Phoenix Gale Magic: High Level Fusion Magic of Fire and Wind Magic, using up a bunch of magic but delivering monstrous results.
Phoenix Rebirth Magic: High Level Fusion magic of Fire and Healing magic using flames to both protect and heal the user and others.
Anima Force Magic: Advanced Fusion Magic used to manipulate and use the five base elements at will.
Gaiaforce Magic: Advanced Earth magic, concentrating mostly on causing powerful quakes and tremors.
Eden Flora Magic: Master level Flora magic that can produce ancient plantlife with a myriad of different abilities and effects.
Black Star Magic: High level fire magic gifted from Astaroth, allowing the use of black flames, the highest level of flames only behind that of Dragon's fire.
Sacred Forge Magic: High level fire magic specifically created by Wayland Pent for the use of reinforcing Ironforge Magic.
Sand Tomb Magic: Mid level Earth magic specifically allowing the specialized use and manipulation of sand.
Poison Magic: A variation of water magic that allows the user to manipulate corrosive and poisonous liquids.
Riptide Magic: An advanced variation of water magic that forms and shoots water with stronger pressure and faster than typical water magic.
Stonecraft Magic: High level Earth magic that imbues life energy into the earth, allowing the user to construct thralls.
Garuda Storm Magic: The highest level of Wind magic, emulating the power winds controlled by the Garuda.
World Trigger Magic: Extremely powerful and dangerous magic, strong enough to shape and reshape the entire world, though it requires a massive amount of magic. One of the 12 great spells of Pangaea.
 

Enchantment Magic

  Ink Magic: Unique magic, using ink as a vessel through which to use a wide range of effects.
Slumber Magic: Magic with the ability to cause its target to fall asleep.
Empowering Magic: Magic with the ability to increase the target's physical abilities.
Hex Magic: Dangerous magic that causes whoever falls under the hex to suffer many of numerous different effects determined by the caster. Lasts as long as the caster is alive.
Dominion Magic: Magic powerful enough to bend the mind of its target under the control of the caster.
Pact Magic: Magic that binds its target to whatever the terms of the pact require, making this magic potentially very dangerous.
 

Ur Magic

  Soul Magic: Magic used to place a soul into a vessel, be it a soulless husk or an inanimate object.
Divination Magic: Powerful magic used to commune with the Divine.
Destruction Magic: Taboo magic allowing the caster to wield the power of the Divine in their hand, destroying anything it makes contact with. One of the 12 great spells of Pangaea.
Creation Magic: Extremely rare and powerful magic that allows the caster to create nearly anything within the power of their imagination and magical limits. One of the 12 great spells of Pangaea.
