Ustad City - The Capital of Ustad

Ustad is the wealthiest city in the entirety of Fradris.

Government

Having enough money to fund an entire war, the mayor of the city, Mayor Reynard, is the sole perpetrator for starting the civil war. As his city expanded, he grew greedy and desired Dukedom. Knowing he had no way to legitimately win the Dukedom, he fabricated evidence to suggest the Duke, Cornelius II, had purposely expanded the Frozen Wastes to eliminate political opponents. The lies worked and a revolt began in Fradris City, although easily crushed, more revolts began to spring up through the Duchy. Although they started small, eventually entire territories of the Duchy, such as Obresh and Uthgad, declared war on Fradris - the Capital of the Duchy.

Defences

Ustad is also an incredibly fortified city. Its walls are made of thick town and have four, very distinct, watchtowers in each corner. The wealth of the city also provides for its powerful military. There is even an entire quarter of the city (The Soldiers Quarter) dedicated to the housing, training and armouring the military. Ustad quickly became a big contender in Fradresian politics, which paved way for the civil war.

Industry & Trade

Ustad is famous for its huge exports of all sorts of industry, due to its immense power, the city became a trading port, despite its location. This meant that Ustad quickly grew and its population became some of the richest. Some people were richer than the Duke himself!
