The Starlit Maiden

Also Known as The First Song-Chosen or The Silver Star

Few details of the Starlit Maiden before becoming Song-chosen are known by scholars, however the ascension was seen from the southern sands of Urdrax-Nar all the way to the icy seas of Ulfyre in the north. A beacon of silver light that shot into the sky above Castión and embedded itself in the heavens, an ever present reminder of her presence in this world. After a time a cult known as The Followers of the Silver Star began claiming a book called "A Gift, a Purpose, a Shackle" was a handwritten record of the Starlit Maiden's life as a mortal, however no evidence of this has ever been found.   Since the appearance of the Silver Star particular harmonies of the Crescendo of Creation have become more powerful and have been reported to display a level of sentience that never exsisted before. Often rewarding those who show a strong belief in the Starlit Maiden, some are gifted the ability to heal the injured with silvery light, provide brief glimpses into the near future, and empower those who defy the unjust imprisonment and enslavement of others with enhanced strength or magical ability. These followers have begun spreading their word and teachings, often improving the lives of those they come into contact with, and expanding their order.
"...the Selection was simple, a test of our training, blessings, and the depth of our loyalty. I was tasked to protect a member of the temple for a period of time, and from an unknown threat. Months passed with no signs of the completion of my trial as i observed and collected information on possible threats, even preventing an attempted poisoning. When i finally succeeded I was sought after by a few Selectors, but ultimately i was chosen by an ambassador. The man who had selected me, Ernos Ilgri (Er-nos Ill-gri) was key to representing Valrak in their negotiations with the upper reaches of Edros's nobility. Charasmatic and well mannered , Ernos spoke to me of his role in foreign politics, his life, family, and even his great love for the temple's library, which we shared.   When later that night i returned to gather my things from the barracks it was already cleaned out. Sitting on my bed was a dress, necklace, and a note from Ernos marking it as a gift. He couldnt rightly have me in my temple attire if i was to attend court with him in the future, and had already had my things moved to his estate in the royal quarter. When I arrived he was waiting for me in the finest main hall i had ever seen, a far cry from the solid stone walls of the temple. He motioned me to kneel and took my hand, snapping on a golden bracelet that sent a cold shiver through my body. I belong to him now."       An Excerpt from "A Gift, a Purpose, a Shackle"

You are always untrained with Nature, Medicine and Crafting, regardless of any effect that would improve your proficiency. You can’t retrain those skills.   Major Curse: You are cursed to depend upon others for your survival.
