Caramel (a.k.a. Carrie / Mel)

Caramel, known very briefly as Specimen-388-F, is an Amalgamorph found on the planet LTT-388.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Caramel is quite short, at 1.44 meters tall, and has a skinny, petite build when in humanoid shape, which is her primary form. Due to her malleable and shapable nature, she is quite good at hiding and getting into tight spaces. She has low stamina, due to an energy debt from growing so fast, and is consequently a voracious eater. As most Amalgamorphs, her membrane is very soft and moist, and her general body is very yielding to pressure, though her internal pressure is able to compensate when she allows it to.

Body Features

Humanoid build, but entirely translucent, made of a gelatinous biomass covered in a semipermeable membrane.

Facial Features

Soft, intelligent eyes, only a hint of the shape of a nose, flaps of biomass arranged to look like side-swept bangs, no ears, and a disarmingly sweet smile.

Personal history

An accidentally discarded piece of biomass from another girl genetically identical to her was collected by Tsaus Rila su-Maratanma, who mistook it for a sample of a kind of slime mold at about 11:30. Over the course of a few hours, the sample rapidly grew to eight times its original size, and kept growing until it became a large, motile puddle. By 20:11, the puddle began to reshape itself, eventually coalescing into the form of a humanoid girl of about 12 years old sometime during the night. Rila awoke and found her sleeping about an arm's length from her.
There was intelligence in her eyes, inquisitiveness and study, but also confusion. For the first few days of her life, she couldn't speak, but eventually and quickly. absorbed English by simply being immersed in it.
