The Dawn Realm

We have developed over thousands of years. The year is 3029 a lot has changed. We have discovered a form of magic, which is different from person to person, but everyone learns the basics when they are 8 years old. One person can only learn one form of magic at once, until that magic is studied down to the last detail.   We have been informed of a parallel universe, that died because of global warming, and thus we all resorted to bikes, horses and of course our own legs. Some would say we are going back in time, while others say we're growing a new form for society. Modern technology has been put to rest, after the discovery of magic.   Scientists say the reason for the lack of magic was because of overpopulation. There were to many people, so the crazy people, were one of the lucky ones to have obtained magic. That was 1000+ years ago. Now 68% of the earths human demographic has been killed off by a plague so severe that nobody could stop it.
