The Not-Pantheon of the Gray Lands

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________   Omu-Nox, mad Snail God of the endless Hunger: A huge, snail-like creature that has made camp in the forgotten corners of the gray landes. According to rumours, it is one of the vermin gods who somehow managed to penetrate the dark utopia. Omu-Nox is an entity of madness and endless hunger who, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, has decided to devour the dark utopia until nothing remains. Thanks to its countless mouths, diamond-like teeth, and endless stomachs, Omu-Nox has no trouble devouring anything in its path. Luckily for the rest of the denizens of the dark utopia, this entity feeds with incredible slowness, so that the entity will not pose a threat to nearby, civilized areas even for the next few millennia. Immortal and endowed with almost endless self-healing powers, it is impossible to permanently destroy Omu-Nox. However, should its earthly shell be damaged badly enough, the entity will go into a kind of hibernation that lasts a few years before it starts feeding again. In the end, Omu-Nox can be slowed down but not stopped completely. Though the entity has shown little interest in any form of worship (it's not even certain it's even aware of other beings), cults continue to form that it worships for one reason or another.   __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________   The God in the Pit: This nameless, lower entity is bound to the tar pits of Xzaalt, in a way the god is the tar pit. The god is the result of a slow merging of countless beasts and dark beings that met their end in the pits. His mutable body is made of stinking tar and the countless bones of his victims, while his mind is an amalgam of diverse souls and personalities. The god in the pit is a lesser but slowly ascending deity. Previously barely aware of himself or his power, he is capable of planning and abstract thinking thanks to his victims' assimilated knowledge. While his personality is far from stable, he has begun to actively attract new victims and increase his power. Not only does he have access to the full knowledge and partial abilities of every victim who died in the pit, he is also able to create golem-like minions of tar and bone to blindly obey him. Some of the resident dark beings have begun to form a shaky alliance with the god in the pit, providing him with living sacrifices in exchange for his knowledge and other service.   __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
