Since time long forgotten, a once mighty deity is chained into the skys, eternal wanders them in fixed paths. whatever crime the entity committed to deserve its fate has been lost in the mists of time but ever realm and culture has his own storys and legends about the deeds of the hatefull moon. every night the gigantic creature is seen as a moon, gazes hatefull on the world below. the moon-entity would do nothing more than destroy this wretched, lousy world and to be free once more, torment the universe again with his malice and hate. fortunaly, the powers of the moon are chained and highly limitid. but if the stars are very wrong the hatefull moon tug on his invisible chains, drag a bit near to the dark utopie. in those feared days and nights, the hatefull moon can summon parts of his might to cause catasrtophed or create a weaker avatar of himself to send down to walk the dark lands to bring pain and misery bevor his chains drag him back to his old place in the sky and his might is sealed once more. even if the hateful moon is binded and (more or less) powerless the entity is far from harmless. the hateful moon is capable to create his own weaker, smaller but no less hatefull spawns of it's stony skin and hurl them down into the dark utopia to do it's beddings in this world. if the stars are right the entity is also capable to control the few unfortuned souls with a enigmatic connection to the moon mentally to help his cause. this individual will often form doomsdaycults or other dubious groups to destroy the dark utopie. most of this mooncults and moonspawns or less subtile and mostly found and destroyed. the more subtle and mor dangerous servents of the moon will blend into society hiding and sheme, until they time has come to wreak havoc on a real big scale.
