The continent is finally unified under the rule of Imperial family Hardore. After the extended period of peace the unification has created technology has flourished. Aether, the liquid form of mana, has been discovered and utilised as a fuel source making electricity and automobiles common place.   The Light shines done on all the species of the world and is worshipped it all its aspects. This honour does not extend to the church of the Light after the attempt insurrection 50 years ago. The then High Priest, Theodore Alfonsi, assassinated Emperor William Hardore and attempted to take the throne but his son George Hardore was contacted in time for him to return home from his studies to prevent this. Since then the church has had its power severely curtailed.   Magic has always been known to be a powerful force in the world and as such the powers that be, have controlled those that are able to use it. As every type of magic is different, every kind of wielder is taught in their own way.
