Military Branches

Overseen by High Commander Prince Harold Purelight the fourth, there are four distinct branches of the Imperial Military. The Guard, or Shield, which defends the capital and deals mostly with internal affairs is run by Lord Commander Bjorn Icebeard. The Army, or Armor, is the largest branch and defends the rest of the empire, patrolling the roads, guarding the inns and outposts, and acting as city guards when needed and is run by Grand General Lady Aleesia Glyndar, the first Elven general of the I.A. The Army also oversees the basic training of all new recruits into any branch before they move on to specialization. The Legion, or Sword, reaches beyond the borders of the Empire and strikes back at the creatures of shadow and is run by Field Commander Lord Baelric Ranwolf. And the Navy, or Trident, defends all the ports and waterways and is run by Imperial Admiral Lady Frida Nithem.
