Paraguell

Paraguell is a small island chain, but one full to bursting with nature and wildlife, which is highly revered in the culture of Paraguell. Nature is so relevant in the culture of Paraguell, that destroying or harming wildlife can warrant a death penalty depending on what island you’re on. Paraguell is also a very closed society, almost everyone who wasn’t a select group of 350 that colonized the island when it was founded get turned away or even forcibly chased out of Paraguell. As such, not much is known about why nature is so important in the culture of the chain, since they never try to cut it down or sell it for money. Parguell is a very poor island, they refuse to use anything from their island as a natural resource, or disturb the balance of nature in any way. They only eat from hand-planted, which they get imported from other islands, and they drink a strange substance called Watlut. Paraguell is one the newer chains discovered, and only a year after it was discovered, people began to go missing near it’s shores which is why no one goes near it.

Geography

Paraguell is a very small island. There are only 12 islands in total, and they are all extremely closely packed together. There also aren't a lot of high areas in the chain, it has almost no hills or mountains. There are a few patches of plains along the coastlines, which is where all the small towns of Paraguell are set up. Inside the forests have many natural beauties. There a few small rivers and lakes, which have roadblocks set up on the entrances from the sea to the river. There are many natural caves and tunnels, and some of the most beautiful waterfalls can be found in the forests of Paraguell.

Fauna & Flora

There are all kinds of different plants and animals in the forests of Paraguell, though none of them are particularly unique to the region. There are many different kinds of trees and animal across all parts of the forest. The most common kind of tree is Bright Oleander, a bright green tree who's bark is used in many weapons, but you can also find Pygmy Magnolia, Humble Larch, Lunar Hemlock, and Jester Leaf. There are also many kinds of small animals, squirrels, chipmunks, gardener snakes, bugs, and many other tiny animals, not many predators lie withing the forests.

History

Paraguell was discovered by a once-famous adventurer named Devotion Datari. Excited about exploring the forests Devotion wanted to put together a large party to search the forests of the chain. She originally wanted a party of about 50, but soon word got around and the group ended up being about 350. No one knows what happened to that adventuring party, but when they finished exploring the forests, not one of them left Paraguell, and all began living there.

There are all kinds of people living in Paraguell but the most common race is dwarves and firblogs. There are also a significant amount of tieflings, humans, and goblins.
