Coatilile Island

Coatilile Island is a large island that is very low-set, with not very many large mountains or hills. There are two cities that are erected on the long-stretching plains of the island, Ardcester and Abandonment, each of which are dueling over building ports and fishing spots on the shores of the island, a conflict that has gone unnoticed by the sultan Rumbash. The shores of Coatilile Island is what makes it special, a unique kind of seaweed has begun growing around them, which attracts all kinds of different aquatic life, some of which is uniquely found around the shores of Coatilile.

Geography

Coatilile Island is very lowset, there are little to no high points across the entire island. The shoreline goes up a considerable distance of the island, but not enough to detract from it's massive size. Most of the landmass consists of tall grass and savannah, however not many land animals are able to make home there due to the lack of natural rivers and lakes running through the island.

Fauna & Flora

There isn't much notable flora in Coatilile, besides the special kind of seaweed that has since been nicknamed Coatilile Weed. The different kinds of aquatic life that show up near the island's shoreline changes from year to year, but there have been to be an abundance of special breeds of fish, one of which is a frequent visitor called Shining Cellopin, a special breed of Cellopin with scales that reflect light easily, making them look like a rainbow fish.
There are also many different kinds of crab and lobster that show up around the islands shoreline, many of which are notably larger than any normal crustaceans that show up around the shores. Finally, there are a large amount of turtles which also show up for the seaweed, many of which are also abnormally large. There are a few scattered kinds of land creatures which also gather around the islands shores, since that's one of the only places they can get drinking water.

History

The island was discovered by a group of marine biologists who found a lot of strange aquatic life was migrating the islands cost. It was colonized fast by fisherman and others interested in sealife, and almost nobody was disappointed by the magnificent different kind of creatures they found.
