Avonstone

Avonstone is a chain with a lot of natural rock formations and caves. Some of the most unique stones and fossils can be found on the chain on Avonstone. Historians say these rocks were formed by the formation of two underwater volcanoes, and the fossils soon resurfaced. These fossils are of ancient underwater creatures, things like krackens and megalodons. A lot of these rocks are also very smooth and shiny, and often used in jewelry. This particular chain is a favorite for tourists as well, because many of the fossils have been set up in museums and glass displays. There are a small amount of people who actually live in Avonstone and most of them run museums or go searching for things to set up in museums. The chain is extremely small, there are only 12 islands, and most of the islands have large sites used to extract these fossils and stones.

Geography

Avonstone is a small chain with only 12 islands, and they are spaced extremely far apart. There are rope bridges connecting the islands together, which are nailed down to the edges of each island. There isn't much high ground on Avonstone, only a few hills littered across the entirety of the chain. There are many man-made holes which lead to the ocean. They are fenced off to protect random passersby, but most of them take up a large amount of the island.

Fauna & Flora

There a few forests across Avonstone, though a few have been deforested to make room for the large holes leading to the sea. These forests are small and have trees spaces largely apart. There are also all kinds of animals across Avonstone, most of them find homes in the trees and plains of Avonstone. The most common animals are cows, but there are also pigs, monkeys, and snakes on the land. In the sea and on the coast are a lot of small fish and sharks.

Natural Resources

The fossils and stones are what makes the chain almost all of its money, and there are all kinds of different souvenirs and jewelry made out of them. Sometimes even whole fossils are shipped out in displays for decor for the rich. Besides that, there are a few resources provided by the animals in the chain, and there are a few crops in the plains of the chain as well.

History

Avonstone was discovered by an explorer named Ardentooth. When Ardentooth discovered an island, he found a kracken fossil on the coast of the island, and turned it on to many geologists, who went to the chain and found about the various underground volcanoes resurfacing rocks and fossils. Soon people began realizing the marketing potential of the fossils and rocks in the islands, and it had become populated and soon a society was made on Avonstone made of people who started operating museums and jewelers.
Avonstone is a very diverse island, and there is a somewhat small population, so there is no determined most common race. Humans, dwarves, half-orcs, and half-elves are a lot of races commonly seen. The crime rate of Avonstone is also fairly low, because screwing over other people's businesses in Avonstone has a high chance to screw over yours as well.
