Howling helmets

Most notably used by the light infantry of The house of the dragon , Thalyra's Terrors , these helmets obscure the wearer's face. They have a distinctive plumed crest.
What makes these helmets so dreaded is that when worn, it distorts the wearer's voice. Whenever the wearer shouts, they helmet turns the noise into an unnerving scream.
