Elves

The most "common" elves in the countless realms. They may appear haughty and aloof, but for the most part, the elves try to get along with the other races. They often prefer to stay in their own forest dominions, but every so often, an adventurer decides to strike out into the world.
The elves have been a divided people since the fall of Obran The Tyrant at the hands of Tordril . Fully a third of their depleted peoples were exiled or killed after The Mercy of Lathander was unleashed. Afterwards, the so-called wood elves decided to strike out on their own and only pay limited tribute to the house of Tordril, the ruling noble house. Not risking a second civil war, Tordril allowed them to go their own ways. These two kinds of elves are still in contact and allies, but prefer to leave eachother alone, with the high elves living in ancient cities, and Wood elves preferring a nomadic lifestyle.
The Drow traitors have been exiled to the The Underdark since, where they viciously raid the surface world.
Rarely, but when the world was most threatened, both wood and sun elves marched from their forests and and were a bolstering sight on the battlefield, smiting the unjust before them.
