The Celestial Stone

The Celestial Stone was the palace and fortress that housed The Trebai Ascendancy in the city of Redoran. It occupied most of the island of the island of Thetre, which sat just off the coast and was connected by the Triumphal Bridge. Immense and grandiose, it was one of the largest and most impressive buildings in Beurum.
The Celestial Stone was built in its first form by Veshek Redoran, upon his transformation of Redoran into a large city. The construction was not finished by the time of Redoran's death, and was hindered by the Battle of Obsidian Bay. Nevertheless, it was finished in its original state by the start of the First Era.    In its original form, the Stone took the shape of a huge tower, and was widely regarded as unstable and prone to collapse. Sure enough, minimal efforts by the Neo-Chipahau, during their assault on Redoran just before the start of the Second Era, were able to topple the Stone entirely. Upon their expulsion from the city, the Stone was rebuilt more quickly than before, but took a wildly different shape.   This time, the Celestial Stone was a fortified pyramid, centered around massive plazas.

Architecture

The building took the shape of a monumental pyramid, adorned with statues, hanging gardens, and numerous levels. Surrounding the building on all sides was a massive courtyard filled with colossi. Much of the structure was built with stone from the Makovai Mountains.

History

The fortress was built sometime in the First Era, for the purposes of housing the government of the Trebai Ascendancy.
