Llahomara
In the 200s, the city of Llaharmora would be founded along the Copper River. It was divided into two sections, outer and inner, by a massive wall. The inner was where the wealthy lived in endless squalor, while the outer was the domain of the poor.
This city would be a seed, and when watered with trade and technological advancements, it would bloom into a massive empire.
This empire was one of the mightiest in the lands, rivaling Zim'ura City and The Rishaunt Empire.
After the The Crimson Maw’s dark reign, this empire would fall, but the city survived, folding into an isolationist state.
The Umagiza were used to prevent anyone, except for merchants, from stepping foot into the outer area of the city. The wall protecting the inner area was adorned with a crown of fire and was watched over by gargoyles, trained dragons, and soldiers on the wings of giant hawks.
It would eventually be conquered by The Bironaut Empire during The Sacking of Llahomara. The Bironaut Empire used magic to melt the outer wall into tar and flood the outer area, massacring thousands of the peasantry. Those in the inner area realized they had no choice but to surrender to The Bironaut Empire. As such, the city survived, even if it was much smaller.
To decrease Llahamora’s power, the city would be stripped of much of its gargoyles, dragons, and hawks. This meant that Iralji was able to conquer the city with relative ease.
The city's high population of non-light worshippers meant that purges would regularly be held. These would lead to rebellions, all of wich would be quashed. However, it began to be clear that this was a futile attempt, and so the purges would stop. While practicing a religion other than The Church of Light is still illegal in Iralji, some within the walls of Llahamora choose to ignore this.
