There are 37 currencies officially sanctioned by The Continental Council. The currency used by Patrus, as well as the bank of Patrus, is known as The Common Currency.

One of the most commonly exchanged currencies is the kind used in Diqui.
Diqui makes use of both paper money and coins. Paper money is referred to as Petals. A single Petal is worth about twice that of a Silica. Coin money is referred to as Tokens, with their being four kinds. A black token is worth a twentieth of a Petal, a red token is worth a tenth, a red token is worth a fifth, and a copper token is worth half of a Petal.
Both Gornam and Badawan use Tattooed Shells, which are shells tattooed with seals on them.
