Witcher Specialty

Besides the different schools of fighting styles, each Witcher is also one of 4 monster specialists.

Witcher

There are strange and horrible creatures that live beyond the veil of Chaos. Some are summoned beyond that veil by mages. Others are sensitive to chaotic events, and take advantage of such moments to cross between the realms. Also known as 'Witch-Slayers', Witchers were originally made to assassinate mages, but have since branched out to also slaying the creatures they summon. Example creatures include imps, golems, elementals, and mages. You gain the Arcana skill.

Cleanser

Chaos often corrupts those who are exposed to it, as well as mages who fail to control the power they wield. Even a field of corpses can be turned alive by a touch of Chaos. These creatures are Aberrations. Aberrations are always former folk, not belonging to either the Continent or the Chaos. Cleansers lay these unfortunate creatures to rest, by purging them from the natural world. Example creatures include ghosts, werewolves, hags, and vampires. You gain the Medicine skill.

Hunter

Not all that threatens mankind derives from Chaos. Savage beasts and huge monstrosities also endanger the people of the Continent. In addition, some of the greatest monsters are found to be men. Hunters are specialized in slaying creatures that have no magical origin. Example creatures include bears, ogres, wyverns, and mankind. You gain the Nature skill.

Myth-slayer

Myth-slayers are thought to be masters of folklore and fairy-tales. In truth, they track Relicts: Creatures of magical origin - yet with no connection to the Chaos. These beings are perhaps the most mysterious of all. It is said that these fey creatures once inhabited the world long before mankind did, yet even the Elves do not remember a time before their existence. Example creatures include dryads, trolls, frost giants, and dragons. You gain the Lore skill. (History + Religion)
