Sorenport

Sorenport is seen by many as a bulwark between the Eos influence in Venstreheim, and the hardy Arven ways still prevalent in Körharven. Among the many fishing towns along the coast of the Bay of Körvic, Sorenport is a thriving market town and one of the last stops for those travelling to Versimhelm over land. Sorenport is a relatively small but wealthy town; both a literal and proverbial crossroads - though tollgate might be more appropriate.

Demographics

Due to its nature as a market town, as well as its relative proximity to Versimhelm, fewer people live in the town than pass through. Those that remain tend to be well-educated and affluent, usually having studied in the universities in Venstreheim before returning to commercial ventures at home. Even those less fortunate tend to be treated with more respect than is normal - at least, what is normal for venstreheim.

Government

Sorenport is controlled by a local branch of Versimhelm's ruling Gilfaarnen. It is seen as an peripheral of the same conglomerate of guilds, and as such is party to the same laws and taxations.
