Pyke

Pyke sits on the northern ford of the river Venstre, and forms one of the three Triumvirate Elector seats of the Venstre Fordlands. One of the oldest fortified settlements in the known world, Pyke has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. It's inhabitants share a similar unbreakable sentiment, with strong ties to the Arven Constabulary. Many people travel through Pyke when travelling east from Körharven to Ostermark, or south into Venstreheim.

Demographics

Sharing a similar demographic to Doran's Guard, if anything the attitude in Pyke is even more insular. There are fewer training soldiers among the local inhabitants compared to Doran's Guard and far more veterans, many of whom having served in Kör's Navy and seen active combat. The Triumvirate take excellent care of their veterans.

Infrastructure

Pyke is home to the Ulfson Convalescence Hospital, a war veteran's hospital for both the aging and infirmed soldiers of recent and past conflict. It is also home to the Warrior's Garden, a site of countless memorials to fallen heroes, large and small, in the nation's past.
