Caseless Ammunition describes a system in which the bullet is embedded into a solid block or cylinder of chemical propellant that has no case and is ignited by the weapon's electrical system. The earliest caseless ammunition weapons in Boesia were invented in the early 2200s and utilised a mechanical action to ignite the propellant, but the modern-day iteration of electronic-action weaponry was invented in 2245.
